How to achieve this Emma Watson look…
If your anything like me you just love how Emma Watson has achieved a certain elegance and charm. I find myself happy to see her grow up into this amazing person who is an important role model for young women. She is definitely and interesting woman to keep track of and I cant wait to see what she does next……
Here is a guide to achieve her look for this picture. I just love that this makeup enhances her eyes while keeping a natural element, all part of the simple charm that is Emma Watson and to top it off she has a fantastic hair style!
This makeup look is all about the eyes so you just need a light foundation coverage keeping any freckles and moles for a natural look. Then once you have powdered add some light bronzer around the hairline as i have demonstrated in brown and then add a pale peach/pink blush. All the makeup used for this look is in matt form so no shimmer in any way will work best for this makeup.
Next up add your lips, again they have gone for a matt look so a pale pinkish skin colour is what I recommend. When using matt lippy be sure to use a lip balm underneath so it doesnt crack through dry lips, just make sure the balm you choose isn’t too shiny or heavily applied
Now for the eyes. To start use the simple method of tint, tone and shade. What this means is’ tint ‘ under the eyebrow with a pale almond skinlike colour, then follow with a ‘tone’ over the eyelid in a pale peach colour. Complete with your ‘shade’ in the crease of the eye with a light to medium brown. Blend all the levels so that they are subtle but still visible, remember you can always add more but its much harder to take off.
To add more depth to the eyes I recommend using a dark chocolate brown with a fine angled brush around the outside of the lashes both above and below.
Now to make the dark brown really effective you want to blend it into the existing brown ‘shade’, so slowly add more of the dark brown with a small eyeshadow brush into the crease and a little over the lid concentrating on the outside edge. Softly blend away any harsh lines so its not obvious but you should notice the extra ‘wow’ factor this added to your eyes. Sometimes it helps to stand back from your reflection when doing your eyes so you get a better sense of how its coming together.
Finally you finish off your look with a thin line of black eyeliner concentrating on the lash line. Take the outside edge out to a little flick and take the line about half way under the eye giving you that ‘almond eye’ look. Then apply some white eyeliner to the inside of the eye to really open your eyes up. Finish with a few coats of mascara. Remember if you don’t want to have clumpy dry lashes you need to regularly change your mascara, they really dont stay fresh past 3 months.

Jungle Makeup: How to Guide
I have posted this step by step guide for my jungle makeup pics as they have been extremely popular. I hope this is made easy for everyone to re create or as a base to help you create your own version. Have fun playing….
Step 1: Start with your makeup, from foundation to eyeliner and add some false lashes too if you want the total WOW factor. I used individual lashes layered on each other for the natural lash look but a full set would look almost the same and less time consuming. With the individual lashes you have more control with the direction they go and you can add them under the eye like i did for this look.
Step 2: Add some shading and highlighting now. I used the blush for the shading look because of the peach/orange tone but you could use bronzer instead, it just depends what colour sceme your going for. For the highlight i used a golden eyeshadow (the same one i used for under the eyebrows) because i wanted the shine. The highlighter is placed down the nose, on top of the cheek bones and above the eyebrows if you cant tell from the pic.
Step 3: Now the spots! This is the fun part. Do NOT be afraid, it doesn't matter if you stuff up a line or dot, different sizes and shapes look more natural anyway. If worse comes to worse its only makeup and it comes off! So i recommend using a brown eyeliner to create the spots, one with a soft touch rather than hard. My tip for this to get right is to practice first on your hand, you want some dots and some circles and even small lines. If you need further help copy some leopard print material for the design.
Step 4: Now this is the last step your almost ready. I coloured in the dots with green shimmer mixed with water to make a paste, doing this to your loose shimmers makes them a stronger colour. I also used a yellow shimmer in the same manor. Again just scatter them randomly in the circles of brown and also in between the brown. You will need smaller eyeshadow brushes or even craft brushes for this effect. I chose shimmer eyeshadows because of the shine to them but you could use face/body paints or coloured eyeliners to create the same effect.
So i hope this helps and don’t forget to have to cotton buds ready for mistakes and also practice on your hand or arm first.

How-to guide: silver party look
Step 1: start with a highlight colour under eyebrow eg: white or pale pink shimmer. Then cover the lid up to the natural rim all over with silver eyeshadow.
Step 2: Use a medium to dark brown matte eyeshadow in the crease, make sure you blend it to soften the line.
Step 3: Finish off with a green eyeshadow (or a colour of your choice) under the eye and some black liner on top and the inner rim to enhance the green. Complete with mascara and of course the cotton bud clean up.
This eye design will go well with either pink or peach cheeks & lips.

How-to guide: Natural earthy tones
Step 1: start off with your base colours. Skin colour shimmer on the lid and a lighter shimmer on the brow bone. You can use a matte version of eyeshadow if you prefer.
Step 2: Follow with a medium brown shade in the crease of your eye and be sure to blend this softly. The idea of this step is to create the natural shade your eyes have when they have no foundation on them so only a light amount of product is required.
Step 3: Finish off with a liquid liner. I have chosen the 50's flick because it is a personal fav but any eyeliner will finish off the look. If you are scared of using liquid please dont be, have a go, keep practicing at home until you feel you have it mastered.
These colours go well with close to every lippy so be sure to experiment and try a colour you have always wanted to.
Always clean up any droplets of eyeshadow from under your eyes with a quick stroke of your powder brush. Then your next best friend is a cotton tip, these little babies will clean up all the mess and clean the edges, you can always add a little more concealer when your eye makeup is complete and cleaned.

Step 1: start with a highlight colour under eyebrow eg: white or pale pink shimmer. Then cover the lid up to the natural rim all over with black eyeshadow.
Step 2: Cover the black eyelid with the blue/purple eyeshadow (or whatever colour you like). I carried the colour under the eye for this design.
Step 3: Add some more black eyeshadow to enhance your natural crease and finish off by blending all the colours together a little to soften. All you need now is some eyeliner and mascara
